Beatles

The four-film Beatles biopic is coming to theaters in April 2028.

The monumental film project on Beatles, directed by the Oscar winner Sam Mendes, will arrive on the big screen inApril 2028. The saga will be divided into four individual feature films, distributed by Sony Pictures on a weekly basis over the course of a single month.

Each film will tell the story of the legendary British band through the point of view of one of its members:

  • Paul Mescal in the shoes of Paul McCartney
  • Harris Dickinson in the role of John Lennon
  • Joseph Quinn in that of George Harrison
  • Barry Keoghan in the role of Ringo Starr

The official confirmation came from the producer Pippa Harris (co-founder of the Neal Street Productions) during the London Film Festival.

“The current goal is to release the films in 2028 to allow audiences to experience them in theaters in the same time frame.”, Harris explained. “We don’t necessarily expect people to watch all four installments in a single day, but over the course of a month, you could choose one installment per week, or marathon two installments over a weekend and continue over the following days.”

According to the producer, the four films will function completely independently, but viewing them in full will guarantee a unique narrative experience: “They have a cumulative strength that is far greater than the sum of their parts.”.

Confirming the progress of the work – now in its 180th day of filming -, last August the cast was spotted on set recreating the famous album cover. Abbey Road. To maintain maximum confidentiality about the project, the four protagonists have been asked not to make any public statements.
