Paraná inaugurates its first direct flight to Europe: TAP Air Portugal launches its connection to Lisbon.

Paraná takes a historic step in international connections. The first direct flight lands on Thursday, July 2nd. TAP Air Portugal which connects the Brazilian state to Europe without stopovers.

The plane took off from Lisbon and is scheduled to arrive at 10:00 p.m. at Afonso Pena International Airport, in the municipality of São José dos Pinhais, in the metropolitan area of ​​Curitiba.

The inauguration of the route marks the first non-stop scheduled intercontinental flight in Paraná’s history. The inaugural flight also includes a number of Portuguese journalists invited to visit the state, with the aim of promoting its main tourist attractions to the European public.

The new connection between Afonso Pena International Airport and Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport strengthens ties between Paraná and the European market, fostering the development of tourism, expanding trade relations, and attracting new investments.

To celebrate the launch of the new route, an official ceremony will be held on Friday, July 3, at 6:00 p.m., at the Palácio Iguaçu, the seat of the Government of Paraná, in Curitiba. Representatives of the state government, TAP Air Portugal, and the tourism sector will attend the event.
