Ahead of its annual WWDC 2026 conference, where Apple will officially unveil iOS 27, the Cupertino company has released a new update for iPhone users. iOS 26.5.1, available today, doesn’t introduce any new features, but it fixes some technical issues and improves system stability.
The most significant fix concerns iPhone 17 models and the new iPhone Air. According to Apple, a limited number of users had reported a bug that prevented them from charging via cable when the device’s battery was almost completely drained.
In the official notes for the update, the company explains that “this release fixes an issue that prevented wired charging on iPhone 17 and iPhone Air models when the battery level was very low.”
According to specialized website The Verge, the update package is approximately 12.7 GB in size.
